“We Trade Screen Time For Creative Time”

Green Screen Day Green Screen Day is more than just a campaign—it's a movement encouraging children to reduce screen time by repurposing their use of digital devices and shifting focus towards creativity. Launched by iConnect Lab in partnership with Forest Schools, this initiative seeks to bring nature into classrooms, inspiring children to explore their creativity through art and storytelling.

Why Green Day?

In today’s digital age, children are spending more time on screens than ever before. Studies have shown that excessive screen time can negatively impact children's physical health, mental well-being, and social skills.

Green Screen Day aims to help children reduce screen time by providing creative opportunities to repurpose digital screens as art tools inspired by nature, fostering a healthier relationship with technology.

What to Expect from Green Screen Day

School Engagement: We invite schools to participate in Green Screen Day by registering on our website. Participating schools will receive visits from a local forest school member or art educator who will engage children in hands-on activities, inspiring them to embrace nature and transform their digital devices into creative tools.

Resources for Parents and Educators: To support families at home, we offer creative ideas to make fun, nature-inspired activities easy and accessible. Green Screen Day and iConnect Lab team also provides parents and educators with media literacy resources, offering guidance on understanding the content children are consuming.
